Who We Are
We are Maximum Overdrive, a team of 11th graders at American High School. Our team participates in the First Tech Challenge (FTC). Our mission as a high school robotics team is to achieve technical proficiency in the design and construction of robots, connect with like-minded individuals and to mentor others in the STEM field, and inspire future generations to pursue their passion.
What is First Tech Challenge?
FTC is a rigorous and exhilarating 6-month robotics competition featuring a new challenge every season. Teams are tasked with the challenge of raising funds, designing, constructing, and programming industrial-sized robots to participate in a highly competitive field games against similar-minded competitors. Participants of FIRST Tech Challenge are also encouraged to give back to their communities and share the knowledge and resources they've acquired to inspire future generations!
